Here is a packing list for Defqon.1 with Q-dance's rules on what you can bring to the campsite and the festival grounds. The rules come from Q-dance's information for 2026, because the information for 2027 has not been published yet. Always check Q-dance's latest information before you travel.

The essentials

  • Original passport, ID card or driving licence. The age limit is 18 and a copy is not accepted.
  • The festival wristband (the Legendary Bracelet), which is both your ticket and how you pay.
  • Your doctor's prescription if you bring medication (see below).

For the campsite

  • A tent. Only tents are allowed at the campsite, not cars, campervans, caravans or trailer tents. There is no maximum size for tents or gazebos.
  • Food and drinks: at most 4.5 litres of soft drinks and drinks with no more than 14.9% alcohol per person. You can only bring them the first time you enter the campsite, and they may not be taken onto the festival grounds.
  • A rain poncho or rain jacket, and warm clothes for the evening and night.
  • Sunscreen in new, unopened packaging.
  • A power bank of at most 27,000 mAh with USB ports only.
  • Small speakers of at most 25 watts.
  • Spray deodorant and perfume are fine at the campsite but not on the festival grounds. Roll-ons and sticks are fine everywhere.
  • Your own cigarettes or vape, if you smoke. Smoking is only allowed outdoors, and cigarettes are not sold on site.
  • Earplugs. They are also sold at the merchandise stands.

For the festival grounds

If you have a day ticket, you can take a backpack onto the festival grounds. Bags and belongings can be checked at the entrance, also when you go from the campsite to the festival grounds. A selfie stick can be at most 1 metre long.

What is not allowed

  • All drugs, including cannabis. Defqon.1 has a zero-tolerance policy, and anyone found with drugs is handed over to the police.
  • Glass bottles, spirits and dry ice at the campsite.
  • Gas bottles, fuel, generator batteries, kettles and barbecues at the campsite.
  • Drones, solar panels, large battery packs and power stations with 220 V sockets.
  • On the festival grounds, among other things: your own food and drinks, cans, plastic bottles, glass, laughing gas, fireworks, animals, weapons and aerosol cans.

Confiscated items are not returned.

Medication

You may bring medication, but no more than the daily dose and in unopened packaging. Bring your doctor's prescription, because security may ask to see it. Medication that needs to be kept cold can be left at first aid.
