The festival is held at Spijkweg 30, 8256 RJ Biddinghuizen in the Netherlands, next to the Walibi Holland amusement park.

Opening hours: Thursday 18:00-23:00 (The Gathering, for weekend ticket holders) and Friday to Sunday 11:00-23:00. With a weekend ticket you can enter the campsite from 12:00 on Thursday, and the campsite closes at 12:00 on Monday.

After Friday and Saturday, Q-dance hosts an afterparty in one or more tents close to the festival grounds.

Age limit

18+. Bring your original passport, ID card or driving licence. A copy is not accepted.

There are no day tickets for Thursday.

Tickets are sold by Q-dance, which announces the ticket sale date on defqon1.com. Members of Q-dance DEDIQATED get priority access to the ticket sale. Anyone who had a ticket for the cancelled 2026 edition could choose to keep it for 2027. Read more in the article Defqon.1 2027 tickets.

Coretours sells travel packages with a bus trip and entrance ticket. Pre-register to get priority access when the packages are released.

Getting to Defqon.1

From Sweden, Denmark and Norway you can travel by bus with Coretours, Q-dance's official travel partner in Scandinavia. If you travel on your own, you can fly to Amsterdam Schiphol and take the Q-dance shuttle bus from there, or take the train to Dronten and the shuttle bus on to the festival. Lockers

Lockers can be rented both at the campsite (for four days) and on the festival grounds (for a day or the whole weekend). They are bought in the Defqon.1 shop.

Toilets and showers

Available all over the campsite, in the shower blocks. Showers are paid per use.

Available both on the festival grounds and at the campsite.

First aid

Available both on the festival grounds and at the campsite. In the Netherlands it is often signposted as "EHBO". Remember that the medical staff are there to help you! If you or your friends feel unwell, do not hesitate to go there. Everything is confidential and no details are passed on to the police or the authorities.

Food

There are both proper restaurants and fast food on the festival grounds and at the campsite. If you have allergies or are vegan or vegetarian, there are plenty of different dishes to choose from.

Drinks

There are several bars at the campsite too, so buying a beer or a drink is easy. There are also small supermarkets selling six-packs of beer and more, if you do not want to drink straight away after buying.

Chill-out

There is a chill-out corner where you can rest, hang out on sofas and play board games. At some editions of Defqon.1 there has also been a small cinema next to the chill-out area.

Payment

You pay for food and drinks with your festival wristband (the Legendary Bracelet), which is also your entrance ticket. You top up the wristband with money in the Defqon.1 app or on site, and any remaining balance is refunded automatically after the festival.
