Defqon.1 has had a campsite on the grounds since 2011. Since then the weekend tickets have become hugely popular, and the Defqon.1 campsite has grown in visitor numbers every year. Each year, day tickets have had to make room for more weekend tickets.

Besides all the ravers and their tents, the campsite has large tents with clean toilets and showers. The toilets are flushing toilets, and there are also larger sinks with mirrors where you can freshen up, brush your teeth or refill your water bottle. If you need a power socket for a hair straightener or similar, the easiest place is Coretours Friends Camp, where there will be sockets.

There is a very wide choice of food, from burgers and kebabs to fruit dishes and smoothies. You can buy food both at the campsite and on the festival grounds, and there is usually something for everyone. You can always bring your own food to the campsite too, which we recommend if you want to save a bit of money. If you need anything extra, there is also a mini-supermarket on site. And if you get tired of festival food, no worries: inside the campsite there is a proper restaurant serving hearty meals and a buffet when you have had enough of fries and burgers. You can also book a table, which is perfect for a bigger group that wants to treat itself to a nice meal while travelling.

You pay for food and drinks with your festival wristband (the Legendary Bracelet). You top it up with money in the Defqon.1 app or on site, and any remaining balance is refunded automatically after the festival.

Something that has become incredibly popular in recent years is reserving space for larger groups of friends. If you travel to Defqon.1 with Coretours, you will experience it at its best. You get a dedicated spot, often in the best location near the festival entrance, close to showers, toilets and food stands. This is the place to be for the afterparty, because the atmosphere is crazy!

It is not a bad idea to sneak back to your camp during the day for a break in a deckchair and just chat with the people around you. Only visitors with a weekend package can enter the campsite. Visitors with a regular ticket can only stay on the festival grounds and miss out on the whole camping atmosphere. Campers also get access to all the extras at the campsite, such as afterparties and other happenings. We strongly recommend exploring the whole campsite: there is so much to experience (and so many people to meet!)

Friends camp was introduced by Q-dance and Coretours in 2015 to improve the overall camping experience at Defqon.1. It is perfect for you and your friends, because you get a fenced-off area reserved only for the guests in your group. That means your tents will not end up scattered around the campsite, since the area is sized for the number of people in your booking. Friends camp is expensive, though, and only for groups of 6 to 36 people.

Thanks to Coretours' partnership with Q-dance, we have our very own Friends camp with room for more than 500 people. So there is plenty of space for your travel group. The reserved area is very close to the festival entrance: a short walk from Coretours camp and you are on the festival grounds. Something unique to our campsite is that we have power. For you as a visitor, this means you can charge your phone, speaker, or anything else, and very fast. Power banks are great, but they need charging too and often run low. With our charging station in the middle of the campsite, you avoid these problems.

Another unique thing about Coretours camp is our 81 m² party tent area. It is in the centre of our campsite and perfect for chilling with friends, getting out of the sun or, best of all, the afterparties. This is usually where the pre-party starts, together with your friends and the other travellers. We also have plenty of picnic tables in our party area, which makes it a perfect place to chat and party with like-minded people and, perhaps most importantly, sit down and enjoy lunch at a real table. Being close to the festival entrance is worth its weight in gold too. You get in within a few minutes, instead of risking a spot in one of the remote camping areas where it can take 20-30 minutes to reach the entrance.

If you travel with Coretours, you can also borrow a tent, from one-person tents up to family tents for 12 people. So you avoid dragging a tent to the bus and back again after the festival. You also save a good amount of money by not buying a new tent that you might only use once. The family tents for up to 12 people are our best tents, with high water resistance, so you can relax even if a tropical downpour hits. The tent is extremely easy to put up, because it is inflated through air tubes. No fiddling with pegs and poles to get it standing. Inflating takes around 5-10 minutes. You can book a tent when you book your Defqon.1 trip.

You can choose to pick up the tent yourself or have it set up and ready (by us) when you arrive at the campsite. You can also add a sleeping package, so an air mattress and sleeping bag are waiting for you when you arrive. Have a look at our tents and see which one suits you best.

If you travel with Coretours, you can also borrow a tent from Coretours. So you avoid dragging a tent to the bus and back again after the festival. You also save a good amount of money by not buying a new tent that you might only use once.

You can book a tent when you book your Defqon.1 trip. You then pick up the tent when we arrive at the bus parking, which is right next to the festival.

When the festival is over, you return the tent at the bus parking, where a tour leader checks that it has been handed back.

What is Gang Camp?

Coretours reserves and fences off an area inside Coretours camp where only you and your friends can pitch your tents. You can then set up the fenced area however you like with your camping gear, such as tents, gazebos and chairs. You get 4 m² per person in the booking (minimum 4 people).

Skip the crowds and the guy ropes from other tents and book Gang Camp. If you have also booked a pre-assembled tent, it will be ready in your area when you arrive.

The KarTent is a type of tent introduced by Q-dance together with Coretours in 2016.

The KarTent is designed for 2 people, but if you are really close or want to save some money, 3 to 4 people can sleep in one. The tents are made of a special water-resistant cardboard, which works well for the few days they are used at the festival.

The KarTents are set up and ready when you arrive at the Coretours camping area, so you do not have to put them up or take them down. Just jump in and enjoy once a tour leader has given you a tent. After the festival you can leave the tent without having to pack it up or throw it away. Q-dance takes care of all that.

The KarTent is an optional extra that you can add when you book, on the product page or at checkout.

Coretours also offers family tents. Up to 12 people can sleep in one without any problem, and if you like to cuddle up, a couple more will surely fit. This is our best tent, with high water resistance, so you can relax even if a tropical downpour hits.
